Condition guide
Every piece is inspected by hand and given one honest grade. If there's a flaw, it's in the photos and the condition notes, never hidden.
Our grades
- Never WornNew, unworn.
- Never worn since it was bought, often still with its original tags. Checked for storage marks and creasing like every other piece.
- ExcellentLike new.
- No visible signs of wear. It may have been worn a handful of times, or never, but you'd struggle to tell.
- Very GoodMinimal wear.
- Looks almost new at a glance. Look closely and you may find faint signs of wear, such as slight softening of the fabric or a little fading at the seams.
- GoodLight, honest wear.
- Worn and loved, still in great shape. Expect visible but minor wear, such as light pilling, gentle fading or a small mark, always noted in the listing.
- FairNoticeable wear, fully wearable.
- Character pieces. Wear is clearly visible, for example fading, distressing or a repaired spot, and every flaw is photographed and described. Priced to match.
What we check on every piece
- Fabric: pilling, thinning, fading, snags and shine
- Marks and stains, inside and out, including collars and cuffs
- Seams, hems and linings for pulls or loose threads
- Zips, buttons, poppers and buckles
- Labels and care tags, to confirm brand, size and composition where present
- Odour and cleanliness
Condition notes
Alongside the grade, each listing carries condition notes describing anything worth knowing in plain language. If a piece arrives with something we didn't disclose, our returns policy has you covered.
